Ololiuqui (Rivea Corymbosa)
This Mexican morning glory called "ololiuqui" (Turbina
corymbosa) is highly-prized by native Indians for their
medicinal and religious rituals. Their use goes back to early
periods, and they were important in Aztec ceremonies as
an intoxicant and as a magic potion with reputedly
analgesic properties. This species is also listed as Rivea
corymbosa and Ipomoea burmanni
